Why Are The Doors Locked?

At Landmark Community Bank, the safety and security of our customers and employees is a top priority. As an added level of security, the entry doors to all our branches are locked to help keep our employees safe and provide a safe environment to our customers while they are in our branches.

Although a locked door to a business seems unwelcoming, the intent is quite the opposite. “We understand that being ‘buzzed in’ can be viewed as an inconvenience”, Tom Amico, Landmark Community Bank President and CEO stated, “but we strongly feel that the added level of security our buzzer system provides greatly outweighs the minor inconvenience of using the system.”

Buzzer systems are not new and are used around the country in many different industries and government facilities. In Northeast Pennsylvania, Landmark Community Bank is the first area bank to adopt a bank wide buzzer system. It is predicted that these types of safety measures at banks and other businesses will become more prevalent in the future.
